San Diego room with a view

I want my son to know where he is from. He should know that San Diego is America's finest city, so we always try to get a room where he can see it for himself.We even watched a San Diego Padres game from our room.


You can see the red San Diego trolley, which is a convenient and cheap way to get around San Diego.

Petco Park in the Park

Our hotel was located near the San Diego Padres home stadium, Petco Park, and there's a park that's part of the stadium there that is open every day, from sunrise to sunset, that is the only MLB or NFL stadium that has such a facility.

This hotel on Coronado included an interesting jungle guy, and this was Leo's st time to go down a slide.

San Diego Coronado Navy Lodge pool

There are various pool activiites available for all at this San Diego pool, as you can see below. The water came rushing out of the ground and pouring from above, but the pool closed too early.That was the only problem.

Santa Monica Christmas

Welcome to a California Xmas in Santa Monica! I graduated UCLA so I was familiar with Santa Monica but had never been to the Shopping Mall Santa Monca Place or 3rd St. promenade. I was too busy and too poor. I realized how great a place really California is and did it with my family!



UCLA is located near Beverly Hills as well, and of course, I never went shopping there, either. It was cool to see some famous people and paparazzi while pretending to be rich.
Below, this is Leo's first trip to Trader Joe's, my favorite grocery store. I used to work here part time and got to know the variety of products very well. Leo seemed to like it, too!

Coronado Island

Coronado Island has the best hotel and beaches of San Diego. We were very lucky to stay there. (not at the hotel, but the island.) My Dad is retired USMC so we could stay with them at a special hotel reserved just for the Armed Forces. It was Leo's first time in the swimming pool so he looks a little scared, but he was the youngest baby to climb on the jungle gym so he wasn't scared at all!The picture below shows him playing with a pachinko machine in the park!

My hometown, Oceanside, the Big "O"

This is the main tourist attraction of my hometown,
The picture below of the beach is taken from the pier and shows a sand art image. Can you figure out what it is? It is a lion. I was unable to fgure out what it was but when I finally did, I was so happy!
On the beach, this is Leo's first time ever on a swing. Judging from his smile, you can see he enjoyed it!

【020】San Franciso took my heart

It was first trip to San Franciso in 10 years. I saw my old UCLA roomate and they took us around town, icluding the Golden Gate Bridge. Then we ate dinner on the Bay and had a nice chocolater dessert. I jogged along the Bay everyday, and enjoyed the Omni Hotel.
